Hives

Over the last 4 days or so, I’ve had hives. Hives over a good portion of my body. They started Friday night, getting kind of itchy, but I blew it off because I get that way sometimes when I work in the server room - I think it has something to do with a combo of stress and chemicals that they use in the salon underneath it.
But Saturday, it was a little bit worse, so I took some Benadryl and went to work, where I managed to stay awake, but the hives kept coming back every few hours. By Sunday, the hives were everywhere, even on my face.
They’ve gone down a little bit on Monday and today. Monday most of the hives went away, but they started on the bottom of my feet and on my hands, swelling my hands up bigtime and making it painful to walk (I’ve had hives on my feet before - huge pain in the ass). Today, I took some Benadryl (well, some Rite Aid equilivent) and the hives seem to be away - I can walk with minimal pain, and my hands have gone back almost to normal.
Of course, I’m barely conscious now. Benadryl, as anyone will tell you, will knock your ass out. Even people who don’t get side effects get drowsy with Benedryl.
So I sit here at work, drinking coffee to counteract the downer that my medication is.
