So, why does Blogger suck?
Why the new look? I can’t use the “why the delay?” thing with this blog, because I’ve been known to blow this thing off for more than that, and it’s not like you noticed a big “dropoff in productivity”.
Well, we moved. I used to use Blogger for both this blog and the baseball blog, and Blogger decided it was going to shit the bed every once in a while. Updating became a chore, because you’d sit there and write stuff out, and half the page wouldn’t load, or it’d lock up, or various other crap. It got to be quite annoying, and as I explored other things I could do with my new hosting company, I realized that I had blog software on here that I could use. So, I went and brought everything over to here. Slowly. In fact, Blogger made the process go incredibly slow because it’d time out in the middle of bringing everything over, meaning I’d have to republish everything over and over again until it went completely through.
But we’re here now. And there’s a bit to experiment with here, so I’ll be tinkering a lot. The look may change a lot, and I might add on some more features as I find them.
By the way, the software being used on here is WordPress, if you were curious. Works good, and there seems to be a lot of support for it.
